The Dig "Red Rose in the Cold Winter Ground" (new track)
On May 29th The Dig will release their new album 'Midnight Flowers' via Buffalo Jump Records. The bands latest single "Red Rose in the Cold Ground" is posted below. Catch them on tour with Ben Kweller this spring.
Ava Luna "A Year of Mirth" (live video from SXSW)
Brooklyn's Ava Luna released their debut album 'Ice Level' (via Infinite Best) earlier this month to well deserved buzz. Breakthru Radio's Hear & There caught up with Ava Luna down at SXSW and captured a special performance of "A Year of Mirth" from the back of the band's van. Check out the video above and get after this band.
Goldmund "Shenandoah" (video)
Goldmund AKA Keith Kenniff released an album of Civil War era songs late last year titled 'All Will Prosper' via Western Vinyl. The video for "Shenandoah" (above) was directed byAlex R. Johnson. The prolific Kenniff also releases electronic music as Helios and is half of the duo known as Mint Julep.
Karin Park "Restless" (new track)
Sweden's Karin Park is set to release her debut long player 'Highway Poetry' on May 28th. With tracks like "Restless" (below) it's no wonder this is such a highly anticipated release. The 6'3" Park has supported Azari &III and SBTRKT on their recent European tours.

UK's Fixers are set to release their debut North American EP 'Pop Meat/Your Corruptor' on April 24th via Dolphin Love Records. Get a taste of the album below with the very catchy track "Another Lost Apache".

Dent May "Best Friend" (new track)
Dent May's sophomore album 'Do Things' drops on June 12th via Paw Tracks. The first taste of the album "Best Friend" can be heard now (below). The ten track long-player from the Mississippi native May promises to push his unique pop stylings further forward.

Caveman "Thankful" (video)
New York's Caveman self-released 'CoCo Beware' last fall and created a real buzz. So much so that this week Fat Possum re-released the album. New York Magazine's Vulture premiered a new video from the album, this one for "Thankful" (above). I'll see all you Vancouverites at the Biltmore on April 20th for the show (more dates below). One of our favourite albums from last year can be one of this years now too. Get it. Go!

PUNCHES "Can I Live" (video)
PUNCHES released their new EP 'It Can Only Get Better' this week via Our Label International. To celebrate the band also released a video for "Can I Live" off of the new EP (above). The EP also includes a remix of the track by fellow New Yorker Ducky as well as another new track "Dancing Together" featuring guest vox from Midnight Magic's Tiffany Roth.

Frankie Rose has launched a video for "Night Swim" from her saweeet new album 'Interstellar' (out now via Slumberland/Memphis Industries). The murky video was directed by Laurel Parmet. Hollis Brown "Ride On The Train" (video)
New York's Hollis Brown is set to release 'Nothing & The Famous No One' EP on April 3rd. We have had this EP on repeat for a while around here and love it. Julia Holter "Moni Mon Ami" (video)
Julia Holter released her sophomore album 'Ekstasis' on March 8th via RVNG. The album has received rave reviews and now her track "Moni Mon Ami" has received the video treatment courtesy of director Yelana Zhelezov (above). Next month will see Holter hit the road including a stop at Vancouver's Media Club on May 22nd before heading on to Europe (dates below).

The Men "A Minor" (new track)
The Men released their latest Opus 'Open Your Heart' on March 6th via Sacred Bones (we can't stop listening to it) and finished their European Tour last week. The band will take April off before heading back out on tour in May, this time mainly to the west coast (unfortunately no Vancouver date yet) until mid July. Sacred Bones will release 'Todo Muere Vol. 2' for Record Store Day this year (April 21st) including "A Minor" a new track from The Men. Check it out below along with tour dates.

Boy Friend "Egyptian Wrinkle" (video)
Two girls from Texas going by the moniker Boy Friend made quite a splash last month with the release of their debut album 'Egyptian Wrinkle' via Hell Yes! The duo recently made their own video for the title track (above). The band even scored an opening slot for Perfume Genius in the UK in May.
Japandroids "The House That Heaven Built" (new track)
Vancouver's Japandroids are set to release their sophomore album 'Celebration Rock' on June 5th via Polyvinyl Records. The first single "The House That Heaven Built" from the forthcoming album will get its own release on March 15th b/w a cover of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds "Jack The Ripper". Nat Baldwin "Weights" (video)
Nat Baldwin is heading out on tour in support of last year's Western Vinyl release of 'People Changes'. You are probably more familiar with Nat Baldwin then is immediately obvious, he's performed on both Vampire Weekend's 'Contra' and Department of Eagles 'In Ear Park' after several years with Dirty Projectors. Check out h the latest video for the track "Weights" (above). The double bassist/singer-songwriter and former student of Anthony Braxton will be touring the north east from now straight through to April 3rd.

Mount Eerie "House Shape" (new track)

Pugs & Crows "We Must Befriend The Ice Queen" (video)
Vancouver's Pugs & Crows (Cole Schmidt - guitar, Meredith Bates - violin, Ben Brown - drums, Russell Sholberg - bass, and Catherine Toren - piano) are set to release their sophomore album in June, we've got an advanced sneak peak at some of the new material. We caught up with the Pugs & Crows for An Afternoon at The Zoo at Vancouver's Kozmik Zoo. The first track the band played was "We Must Befriend The Ice Queen" and is posted above. We had a great time capturing two tracks with the band as well as a little interview. Catch the Pugs & Crows at Vancouver's Jazz Festival where they are opening for guitar legend Bill Frisell (June 22 at the Vogue). Boys Who Say No "Ms. Lee" (video)

Teen Daze "Treten" (new track)
Vancouver's Teen Daze will release his first proper full length 'All Of Us Together' on May 22, 2012 via Lefse. "Treten" (below) is the latest release off of the forthcoming album and premiered over at Stereogum earlier today. Mike Wexler "The Trace" (acoustic session video)
Tuesday marked the release of Mike Wexler's latest album 'Dispossession' via Mexican Summer. Wexler popped in to the Seaside Lounge Recording Studios with pianist Brent Cordero for a two track acoustic session. Both "Pariah" and "The Trace" (above) were recorded in this caught on film session. Wexler will also be performing at SXSW this year.
