Dana Buoy "Call To Be" (video)
Dana Buoy (aka Dana Janssen, aka Akron/Family's percussionist) released his debut solo LP 'Summer Bodies' earlier this month via Lefse. Now Buoy has a debut video (shot and edited by Sam Molleur) for the album cut "Call To Be" featuring Dana getting his own body ready for summer by jogging/chasing "that cute girl you always see going for a run" around LA.
Julia Holter "Our Sorrows" (video)
Julia Holter released 'Ekstasis' (via RVNG Intl.) earlier this year to rave reviews. It's easily one of our top 25 albums of the year so far. Dent May "Home Groan" (new track)
Dent May is sharing "Home Groan" (below) from the highly anticipated forthcoming album 'Do Things' which drops on June 12th via Paw Tracks. The upcoming release, self-described as a "wedding reception band on acid", finds May playing every part himself on this funky, synth heavy LP. Scissor Sisters "Baby Come Home" (video)
Scissor Sisters dropped their latest album 'Magic Hour' this week via Polydor. To celebrate the release the band is sharing a new video (directed by Lorenzo Fonda) for über pop throw back "Baby Come Home" (above). The track is the second single from the album and will be seeing it's own release on July 23rd.
Dan Deacon "Lots" (free download)
Dan Deacon will release a new album 'America' on August 28th via Domino Records. He's sharing the first taste of the album "Lots" as a free download (above). 'America' is Deacon's follow up to 2009's 'Bromst' (one of our favourite albums of that year) and is further influenced by his Carnegie Hall debut and a film score he did for Francis Ford Coppola. If "Lots" is just the beginning then 'America' is poised to be one hell of an album.

Lawrence Arabia "Travelling Shoes"
New Zealand's Lawrence Arabia is set to release his new album 'The Sparrow' on July 24th via Bella Union. The album, a follow up to 2010's award winning 'Chant Darling' was produced and mixed by Arabia himself. Check out the addictive "Travelling Shoes" (below).

Montreal's d'Eon will release his new full length album 'LP' on June 5th via Hippos In Tanks. 'LP' is an oratorio in four movements that blends pop and dance stylings with classical and baroque forms and progressions. M83 "Reunion" (video)
You remember M83's video for "Midnight City" where a group of telekinetically gifted children are liberated. Well the video for "Reunion" (above) marks part two of the saga with a little youthful defiance. The videos were directed by Fleur & Manu and produced by Division. The new video also celebrates the release of the "Reunion" single (originally off of one of last years top albums Hurry Up We're Dreaming') including remixes by Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., The Naked and Famous, and several more. The highly anticipated video sequel more than lives up to the hype (being scored by one of our favourite tracks doesn't hurt either).

Dreamers "Appaloosa" (video)
LA's duo Dreamers dropped their self-titled debut album this week via Germ. To celebrate the release the band is sharing a wild video for "Appaloosa" (above). In the video front woman Megan Gold horrifyingly births some 80's pop stars which inevitably leads to a flourish of choreography. This one earns some big points for originality for suresies.

Bend Sinister "She Don't Give It Up"
Bend Sinister is preparing for the release of their latest album 'Small Fame' on July 10th via File Under: Music with the track "She Don't Give It Up" (available for streaming below). The full length album is the follow up to 'On My Mind EP' that dropped earlier this year. 'Small Fame' was produced by Shawn Cole (You Say Party!, Yukon Blonde) at Fader Master and Mushroom studios. Bend Sinister took some time off from the studio to do some extensive touring in support of acts like METRIC, Born Ruffians, Minus the Bear, and We Are Scientists after the release of 2008's LP 'Stories of Lovers, Tales of Lovers'. Choir Of Young Believers "Paint New Horrors"
Denmark's Choir Of Young Believers released their sophomore album 'Rhine Gold' (out now via Ghostly International) to high praise. The latest release from the new LP came in the form of "Paint New Horrors" over at RCRD LBL today (we have it below). We've kept this on our favourites playlist since we got our ears on it.
The Mynabirds "Body of Work"
The Mynabirds are ramping up for the release of 'GENERALS' on June 5th via Saddle Creek with a new single from the forthcoming album "Body of Work" (available to hear and download below). The new album will coincide with singer Laura Burhenn's portrait project titled The New Revolutionists that shines a light on women making a difference in their communities. Both the title track and now "Body of Work" are certainly setting 'GENERALS' up to be very strong release and live show (dates below).

Alice Cohen "Cascading Keys"
Brooklyn's Alice Cohen's fourth album 'Pink Keys' is set to be released on June 12th via Olde English Spelling Bee and her own Crinoline imprint. Teen Daze "Treten" (video)

Pop. 1280 "Bodies in the Dunes" (video)
