If you've already watched the video and are a fan of Dutchess & the Duke then I'm sure you immediately recognized the voice of Jesse Lortz. Case Studies is Lortz's debut solo project and The Wolrd Is Just A Shape To Fill The Night Out will be available from Sacred Bones on August 16th. Greg Ashley (Gris Gris) recorded most of the songs for Lortz in a secluded cabin in Washington. The eleven track album will also feature many of Lortz's friends including Keegan Cooke (Crystal Stilts) but is designed so that Lortz can perform the songs by himself as well.
