July 13th 2012 found Young Magic headlining Vancouver's legendary Waldorf Hotel. The early show saw two opening acts, first up was local band Village prior to tour supporters Quilt hitting the stage. Quilt is a three piece out of Boston who are quickly making a name for themselves based largely on their live shows. Solid jams and witty stage banter are what it's all about the cuteness factor simply a bonus.
The club was really filling up by the time Young Magic hit the stage. Despite the fact that the three piece was mysteriously a man down they played a great set. The sound was huge (they literally blew a speaker) and the visual projections made for some excellent photos. We've had the bands latest album 'Melt' on regular rotation since it's release via Carpark Records earlier this year. Check out some pics from the show below (click to enlarge).
